ULTRA-N[tm] 25 Nitrogen Plant

for Iraq Reconstruction Project

AMCS Corporation has commissioned its ULTRA-N[tm] 25 Series nitrogen plant stateside for installation at the port of Umm Qasr, Iraq.

AMCS Corporation's ULTRA-N-25 nitrogen plant was selected by KBR Halliburton for supplying Iraq South Oil Company's Umm Qasr LPG/LNG export terminal with gaseous and liquid nitrogen for blanketing/inerting requirements at the port.  The nitrogen plant project is part of the Iraq reconstruction effort.  H.E. US Ambassador, Mr. Zalmay Khalilzad, has stated, "This effort is vital to the well-being of the Iraqi people . . . .  When completed, these plants will provide some 3,000 metric tons of LPG, which will free up funds that currently are being spent to import LPG for other urgent priorities, such as schools and medical care for the Iraqi people."

The nitrogen plant produces 25 tons per day (755 Nm3/hr) of high-purity nitrogen gas and liquid.  The overall project also included liquid storage and vaporization equipment, engineering, and field services.  In addition to the nitrogen plant, AMCS also had overall engineering and project management responsibility.

The AMCS ULTRA-N product line ranges from 5 to 100 tons per day of gaseous and liquid nitrogen at nominal purities of 0.5 to 50 parts per million oxygen.  Delivery pressure is 6 to 10 bars with no product compressor requirement.

Mr. Ishmael Chalabi, President of AMCS Corporation, said, "We are excited at the prospect of being part of Iraq's reconstruction effort.  The ULTRA-N-25 plant represents the current state-of-the-art in nitrogen plant technology with unparalleled safety and reliability features.  We understand the significance of this project to Iraq's oil economy and the US effort to help the Iraqi people rebuild their country's infrastructure."
